Steve Leslie
Steve Leslie is a Grammy-winning songwriter, performer, and educator whose career spans more than three decades. His songs have been recorded by country legends such as Kenny Rogers, George Strait, Mark Chesnutt, Ricky Skaggs, Darius Rucker, and many more. A multiple BMI Award winner, Steve earned a Grammy certificate for the title track of Ricky Skaggs’ Best Bluegrass Album of 2004, Brand New Strings.
As a performer, Steve brings warmth and soul to the stage, whether sharing his own music or presenting How Sweet It Is: Steve Leslie Sings James Taylor. He has released several independent projects as a recording artist, showcasing his gift for storytelling and melody.
Steve is also a passionate educator, having taught songwriting and jazz history at institutions including Belmont University, Middle Tennessee State University, Berklee College of Music, Tallahassee Community College, and The Nashville Musicians Association. Through his online courses and in-person workshops, he continues to mentor a new generation of songwriters and musicians around the world.
