ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Katie Blomarz-Kimball is a dynamic bassist whose versatility and artistry have made her an in-demand collaborator across genres. A jazz studies graduate and Nashville resident for the past nine years, Katie has established herself as a creative force, performing everything from folk and Western swing to Americana and modern jazz. She is the newest member of the GRAMMY-nominated bluegrass powerhouse Sister Sadie, bringing her upright and electric bass skills—and signature vocal harmonies—to their celebrated sound.

She has shared the spotlight with artists such as Lauren Daigle, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Jim Lauderdale, Tommy Emmanuel, Kandace Springs, and Jack Pearson, among many others.
When not on tour, Katie is deeply active in the Nashville jazz scene, performing with ensembles such as the Ryan Middagh Jazz Orchestra, the Music City Big Band, and alongside vocalist Abigail Flowers. She also leads her own quartet, which explores repertoire from New Standards, the groundbreaking songbook curated by Terri Lyne Carrington. Whether on stage or in the studio, Katie continues to shape an eclectic and meaningful musical path.
