The Jamey Simmons Sextet: Parables in Six Voices

Friday, November 13, 2026, 7:30 PM

Nashville Jazz Workshop

Trumpeter, composer, and arranger Jamey Simmons leads a sextet of Nashville's top jazz musicians in Parables in Six Voices, an evening of originals that paint sonic pictures of the biblical parables, alongside fresh arrangements of tunes by the great Wayne Shorter.

With Don Aliquo on saxophones, Desmond Ng on trombone, Bruce Dudley on piano, Jack Aylor on bass, and Joshua Cook on drums, the band draws on the classic sound of the great three-horn jazz groups and brings a modern compositional sensibility to every chart. One night only in our 74-seat listening room.

Free parking and BYOB at the Nashville Jazz Workshop.
