Jon Cowherd has spent decades at the center of some of the most significant music being made in jazz. As a founding member of Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, he helped build one of the genre's most celebrated ensembles, recording and performing alongside artists including Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones, John Scofield, Cassandra Wilson, Brandi Carlile, and Lizz Wright. He also happens to live here in Nashville.

Starting July 14, Jon is taking up a regular Tuesday night home at the Jazz Cave, performing every other Tuesday in a series called Residency, In Pieces. Each night features a different lineup and concept. For opening night, Jon brings a band that leans into groove, New Orleans soul, and his own original compositions.

Ryan Scott's musical life has taken him from New York's jazz scene to Nashville, where he has shared the stage and studio with Roy Hargrove, Wynton Marsalis, Chris Thile, Leon Bridges, Marc Ribot, Jim Keltner, Benmont Tench, and Snarky Puppy, among many others. He is one of the most versatile and soulful guitarists working in Nashville today.

Mike Elizondo is a protege of Dr. Dre who has worked with 50 Cent, Eminem, Linkin Park, Carrie Underwood, Fiona Apple, Ry Cooder, Twenty One Pilots, Norah Jones, Brothers Osborne, Lauren Daigle, Madison Cunningham, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sheryl Crow, and Peter Gabriel. His songwriting credits include "In Da Club" by 50 Cent, Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady," "Family Affair" by Mary J. Blige, and Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova." He also served as music director of Live From Here with Chris Thile and now calls Nashville home. On bass, he is simply one of the best in the world. WikipediaNo Expectations

Marlon Patton is a Nashville drummer with deep roots in jazz and gospel, known equally for his sensitivity and his power. He is a longtime collaborator of Jon Cowherd and brings an intuitive chemistry to everything he plays.

The Jazz Cave holds 74 people. There is no bad seat and nowhere to hide. That's the point.
