Between them, they have shared stages and studios with Herbie Hancock, Phish, the Rolling Stones, Christian McBride, Carlos Santana, Tom Petty, John Mayer, Toni Braxton, and Lalah Hathaway. For one night in the Jazz Cave, trumpeter and vocalist Jennifer Hartswick and guitarist Nick Cassarino strip it down to an intimate acoustic duo.

Hartswick, an original member of the Trey Anastasio Band, is one of the most exciting performers in music today, joyful and soulful whether she is wailing on the trumpet or delivering a quiet vocal. Cassarino, founder of The Nth Power and a longtime collaborator with Hartswick and Christian McBride, is a guitarist steeped in jazz, gospel, and soul. The two Vermont natives have spent nearly two decades playing, writing, and storytelling together, and that bond is the whole show: warm, spontaneous, and deeply musical.
