Few American songbooks run as deep as Hoagy Carmichael's. From the aching beauty of "Stardust" to the easy warmth of "Georgia on My Mind," "The Nearness of You," and "Skylark," his songs have become part of the air we breathe. For one night in the Jazz Cave, acclaimed vocalist and educator Vinéecia Buchanan brings them to life with the phrasing, soul, and storytelling that have made her one of Nashville's most compelling jazz voices.

An adjunct instructor of jazz voice at Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music, Buchanan draws on a multi-genre background spanning gospel, R&B, classical, and musical theater. She has shared the stage with The Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel, Bobby McFerrin, and Ben Folds, and is a featured soloist with the Nashville Symphony Chorus. Join us for an intimate evening with the music of one of the great American songwriters, reimagined.
