Who should apply?
Students in grades 6-12
Vocalists and instrumentalists of all skill levels
Young musicians who want to strengthen their understanding of jazz in an immersive, supportive environment this summer.
Expert Faculty
Students will learn from our expert faculty, who are not only exceptional musicians but dedicated educators.
Specialized Instruction
Students will receive specialized instruction on technique and jazz vocabulary, in addition to essential topics like jazz theory and harmony.
Ensemble Experience
At the heart of jazz is communication, collaboration, and connection. Students will practice these skills in an ensemble setting, learning to listen deeply as well express themselves freely.
Pristine Facilities
Students will enjoy Montgomery Bell Academy’s beautiful campus just off West End in Nashville, TN.

Camp tuition is $450 per student. The MBA cafeteria will offer lunch for $6 per meal, or students are welcome to bring their own lunch. Limited scholarships are available. Email camp@nashvillejazz.org to inquire.

Camp will take place at Montgomery Bell Academy at 4001 Harding Rd, Nashville, TN 37205.

Camp runs from June 1st-4th, 2026. Camp days will run from 9AM to 4PM. Camp will culminate in a student performance at the NJW Jazz Cave on the evening of June 5th.

Fill out the registration form when you’re ready.
Students may choose to submit an optional audition recording (audio or video) for ensemble placement.
Optional audition recordings can be:
-2 choruses of a blues in F or 2 choruses on rhythm changes in B♭
-the jazz standard of your choice
Valid file formats are mp3, wav, m4a, MOV, and mp4.
Before you register, be ready to supply personal info like name, school, and musical background; record your audition file (OPTIONAL); and have your parent/guardian on hand to supply their info.
