Joining the Quartet is world-class drummer Mauricio Zottarelli (Hiromi, Esperanza Spalding, Ivan Lins), whose dynamic playing and deep connection to Brazilian music make this performance truly special.

From the driving energy of samba and baião to the subtle beauty of bossa nova and choro, this concert will transport you straight to the heart of Brazil. With artistry, passion, and improvisation at its finest, the night promises an unforgettable celebration of Brazilian music.

This performance celebrates Paulo's EP released title "São Paulo Sessions Vol. 1” and features an exceptional lineup: Chris Autry on bass, Tony Moreira on piano, and special guest vocalist Jennifer Graybill, alongside world-class Brazilian drummer Mauricio Zottarelli

About the performers:

Mauricio Zottarelli is a highly sought-after Brazilian drummer, celebrated for his versatility, artistry, and depth across jazz, Latin, and Brazilian genres. His resume includes collaboration with some of the most renowned performers in the global jazz community—from virtuosos like Hiromi, Esperanza Spalding, and Paquito D’Rivera to legends like Dom Salvador and Ivan Lins.

Beyond his work as a sideman, his leadership as a composer and arranger is evident through his critically acclaimed albums and creative partnerships.

Paulo Oliveira is an award-winning Brazilian guitarist, composer, and educator whose artistry bridges the worlds of jazz, Brazilian, and contemporary music. Based in Nashville, he serves as Coordinator of Guitar Studies at Belmont University, mentoring the next generation of musicians while performing internationally.

A Doctor of Musical Arts, Oliveira has shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Christian McBride, Chester Thompson, Jeff Coffin, Randy Brecker, and Sean Jones. His performances span prestigious festivals such as the Aspen Music Festival (USA) and Campos do Jordão Winter Festival (Brazil), and his recent projects, including the São Paulo Sessions recordings, showcase his deep connection to the music of Brazil!
