ABOUT JON COWHERD

Jon Cowherd is the definition of “a musician’s musician”. While the Kentucky-raised, New Orleans-schooled, New York-honed, and currently Nashville-based Cowherd is best known for his long-running partnership with drummer/bandleader Brian Blade (with whom he co-founded the Grammy-nominated Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band), he is equally at ease in the roles of musical director, side man, or studio wizard. Cowherd’s stellar keyboard work and singular compositional skills are driven, simply, by a lifelong drive to “just be a great musician.”

Cowherd left Paducah, KY, for New Orleans to study French Horn. Arriving in the Big Easy, he was amazed by the way in which jazz is woven into the culture. “Not only did I hear elders, older musicians playing, but kids my age. I had no idea. Kids my age were into jazz!” When touring Loyola University, he happened upon the Ellis Marsalis Quartet. “I heard his band, and I just didn’t realize that it was a living art form. I was very attracted to the harmonic language and the rhythm, and the virtuosity that I heard them playing with. And it inspired me to try to get to that level someday.”

ABOUT RYAN SCOTT

Ryan Scott is a Nashville-based guitarist, songwriter, and producer known for his soulful, genre-blurring style. After cutting his teeth in NYC’s vibrant jazz and indie scenes, he’s made a name as a dynamic sideman and solo artist, often recording solo projects on vintage tape decks. With fingerstyle finesse and a deep groove sensibility, Ryan infuses every performance with heart, spontaneity, and raw musicality.

ABOUT MIKE ELIZONDO

Michael A. Elizondo, Jr. is an American producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. A protégé of Dr. Dre, Elizondo has worked with 50 Cent, Eminem, Linkin Park, Carrie Underwood, Fiona Apple, Mastodon, Ry Cooder, Twenty One Pilots, Nelly Furtado, Brothers Osborne, Lauren Daigle, Madison Cunningham, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, among others. His songwriting credits include In da Club by 50 Cent, Eminem’s Just Lose It, and The Real Slim Shady, Family Affair by Mary J. Blige, and Carrie Underwood’s Cowboy Casanova. He has won three Grammy Awards from seven nominations, which include two nominations for Producer of the Year.

ABOUT KEITH CARLOCK

Keith Carlock is an American musician who has played drums with Toto, Wayne Krantz, Steely Dan, James Taylor, Donald Fagen, Walter Becker, Tal Wilkenfeld, John Mary, Sting, Chris Botti, and Christopher Cross. Once voted in Modern Drummer’s Readers Poll as best Pop, Fusion, and All-Around drummer. He is a member of the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame.
