Hailed as a “Best World Guitarist” by Guitar Player Magazine, Fareed Haque is a true modern virtuoso whose music seamlessly blends jazz, classical, world, rock, blues, and electronic influences. Born to a Pakistani father and Chilean mother, and shaped by years of living and traveling across Spain, France, Iran, Pakistan, and Chile, Haque’s sound reflects a lifetime immersed in global musical traditions. Grounded in the Chicago jazz and blues scene and formally trained in both jazz and classical guitar, his playing is equally steeped in tradition and driven by innovation.
Haque’s remarkable career includes recordings and tours with legendary artists such as Paquito D’Rivera, Sting, Joe Henderson, Joe Zawinul, Bob James, and Cassandra Wilson, as well as releases on iconic labels including Blue Note Records. From world jazz charts to major international festivals and symphony halls, his work spans genres, cultures, and decades of musical excellence.
