Jeff Hamilton is a highly sought-after drummer known for his versatility and originality. He's been a pivotal figure in various musical groups, including his own trio, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, or with Oscar Peterson. With acclaimed recordings like "It's Hamilton Time" and "Jeff Hamilton Trio-LIVE!", he's earned critical praise for his dynamic drumming style. Born in Richmond, Indiana, Hamilton's musical journey began with big band records, leading him to study under John Von Ohlen and perform with luminaries like Lionel Hampton, Woody Herman, and Ella Fitzgerald. He's also collaborated with a diverse range of artists, from Natalie Cole to Diana Krall, leaving his mark on nearly 200 recordings.
