FAQs

In January 2001, the Jazz Workshop moved to the site of the old Neuhoff Meat Packing Plant located in East Germantown on the Cumberland River. The plant had been closed over 25 years before the McRedmond family acquired it. Major cleanup work was done over a 2-year period. The complex is developing as a mixed-use residential, commercial, and arts area.

When the Jazz Workshop made the decision to move to the Neuhoff complex, we had to find a spot out of 800,000 square feet of buildings! We found the perfect spot. Friend and builder Richard Peden (Albion Millworks) took on the enormous task of the "build out."
