Nine48jazz was created as a memorial to the late pioneer restaurateur, Charles H. Dungey, Sr., owner of the legendary restaurant, Deborah's; and to his son, the late master jazz bassist and vocalist, Charles H. Dungey, Jr. Each Nine48jazz house concert event showcases some of Nashville’s hippest jazz artists in a uniquely intimate setting reminiscent of early jazz rooms like the Village Vanguard and Keystone Korner.
