Holy Trinity Episcopal Church announces the 18th annual Jazz on the Triangle series. This is a series of jazz concerts on the third Sundays of April, May, and June.

"Each year we have an opportunity to bring some of Nashville’s finest jazz performers to this historic setting, with excellent acoustics, for three Sunday afternoons of music," said Dr. Carole Creswell-Betsch, the event organizer. "The lineup gives us another reason to enjoy and celebrate this popular music genre."

This year's featured artists . . . .

April 21, Joe Davidian Trio

Davidian brings to the Triangle his distinctive piano style which has garnered high praise for his interpretation of both classic and new tunes. He is a faculty member at the Nashville Jazz Workshop and Belmont University. He is joined by celebrated musicians bassist Dr. Jamie Ousley and JD3's drummer Austin McMahon.

May 19, Connye Florance

Florance makes a much-anticipated return to the Triangle. She has been characterized as "Velvet and Wine" by none other than singing and songwriting legend Leon Russell. Florance is a popular headliner at jazz shows throughout the region as well as locally. She is a vocal instructor at the Nashville Jazz Workshop and also a past BET Jazz Vocalist of the Year.

June 16, Rock Williams

Williams is among the elite jazz saxophonists and is well known around Music City.  He has played for many of the top artists including Delbert McClinton, Tricia Yearwood, Razzy Bailey and Bobby Jones. He can often be heard in the company of the Fabulous Wootens at 3rd and Lindsley. For this performance he will be joined by Karlton Taylor on keys, Regi Wooten on bass and Nioshi Jackson will handle the drums. They will be joined by special guests Dara Tucker and Greg Bryant.

"Jazz on the Triangle" is an annual series hosted by The Church of the Holy Trinity (Episcopal) located at 615 Sixth Avenue South in Nashville, in the lot bounded by Lafayette Street, Sixth Avenue, and Ewing Avenue. The concerts begin at 4:00 pm Central Time. Tickets are $20.00 each, or a set of three tickets may be had for $45.00.
